Another in the series of nature colours that I created together. Using powdered watercolours in natural shades, with hints of scarlet red, and lots and lots of my favourite copper metallic added after the grasses were laid on top of the base colours.
I love how the pressing creates creasing and colour collects in them to make bolder colours. It’s a bit of magic I wish I could bottle! Another thing I love about this painting is how some of the botanicals left behind seeds that really define the grasses.
Size: 10 x 14 inches or 25.4 x 35.6 cm
Substrate: Mineral Paper 15pt (75% Calcium Carbonate / 25% Resin)
