This was one of my very first botanical impressions in watercolour. I couldn’t recreate it if I tried but maybe if I didn’t try, it would happen organically again? Something to strive for...
There are hints of iridescence throughout. The detail is extraordinary and this is the painting I most did not want to sell, because it’s the one that made me realize this could be my thing. However, taking pictures and creating prints means its beauty won’t be lost until I can recreate it again. Wouldn’t you like to say you own the artist’s favourite piece of all time (so far)?
