This was an experiment to see what would happen if I painted the background first and allowed it to dry before placing the botanicals and adding metallic gold. Perhaps it’s the colours, but it makes me feel like I’m peeking into a secret fairy garden.
This one can be paired with In Shadows of Violet, as it uses the same colour palette. Proof that no two botanical impressions watercolours are ever the same!
