I am not really an abstract artist, but I was called to autumn on the day I painted this one, while visiting my hometown of Vancouver. Simply play, but I loved it so much when I was finished, I immediately framed it and kept it on my wall to remind myself that true abstract can be fun.
This was painted using Mission Gold watercolour paints, which are very intensely coloured, and finished with scraping.
Size: 7 x 5 inches or 17.8 x 12.7 cm (standard framing dictates)
Substrate: 100% cold press cotton watercolour paper, 140 lb (300 gsm)
